Jester was turned into the shelter as a stray. He is a big lovebug who starts making biscuits as soon as you start chatting with him! He adores getting attention and head rubs are pretty much his favorite thing ever. This sweet guy is in search of a window sill from which he can watch the world go by!
Martha has had a very hard life. She came to us from South Carolina and has been in a cage since. We are in the worst time of year(kitten season). She could really use a loving home and an owner to spoil her. She is a very sweet cat.
Hi, my name is Missy. I am a kind, shy, gentle cat, but lost in my mixed family of four cats, and I am on the bottom rung. I started out here as a kitten with my sister Cheetah. We were really cute together doing the silly things that kittens do. When we moved to a bigger house, my humans brought a stray cat with them who had decided to adopt my humans. She (Big Momma) was also pregnant and it was in the winter, so I understood. After she had her kittens and spent time in the house, it was clear that she was the strongest one. That was OK, she and I got along fine. We slept together and cleaned each other. Then came Kimba, the white Maine Coon devil. He was young but got big, so he became #2. He and Cheetah began to beat up on me, just to show me where my place was. I got depressed and began to eat too much. My humans understand and believe I would be a great cat if I could be in a quiet house, maybe with another cat that liked me. Then I could show off my roll over trick, and show you how gentle I can be with my paw when I touch your arm, just to let you know I am there and could use a pet. I bet I would even lose some weight if I felt safe and comfortable all the time. I have good scratching manners and love catnip as much as any other cat. I can sleep with you or I can sleep by myself. I will let you know when it's time to eat, but I won’t be obnoxious about it. I have a clean bill of health, and ready to show you what a great and pretty cat I really am. I have a lovely blue-gray fur coat. I have a pretty head, and I like to purr when things are good. Hope to see you soon!
Riley is a handsome black and white boy. He was brought in after his owner was too ill to care for him. He was scared at first; but decided he really likes head scratches, back rubs and sitting in your lap. He is going to be the kind of cat that attaches to his owner and is very devoted. He is a laid back, clean and loving boy.
Beatrice is a talker! she is also a confirmed lap cat. She is an affectionate and very well-mannered. She is ok with other calm cats. She likes to play with string toys and loves wet food. She will complain if you are late with his dinner though. She had eye lashes that were ingrown. FCRT had a vet perform the surgery to fix it. I am sure this is the first time in her life she has been truly comfortable.
Precious is a darling gal. She loves to be spoiled with pets and attention and is an inquisitive lady. Precious came to the shelter after her owner moved and could not keep her. She's never lived with any other animals, but grew up with a little human and they got along great. She has a very calm demeanor and likes being near you. She is a lap cat. She likes furry toy mice to play with. She loves being brushed.
Lulu is a white girl with orange tabby markings. Once you start petting her she cannot get enough, and she answers when you call her name. She craves all of the attention she can get and is a favorite of her foster family. Lulu is a big talker, she’s always trying to tell you about her day, usually or how happy she is to see you. Lulu is a loving girl who likes to get lots of petting and warms up to you very quickly when she sees how much attention you’ll give her. She's a quiet girl who likes you to rub her and tell her she's pretty. She loves to get cat treats too. Wonderful cat.
BOLERO (AKA GRACIE)
Gracie is a wonderfully sweet kitty who would do well in a quieter home where she can be the only cat. She is calm and even-tempered and has gorgeous, green eyes that reduce your stress whenever you look into them. She likes to keep you company and adores having her ears and chin scratched. She is affectionate and will sit still forever while you brush her coat. She is a curious girl who loves looking out the window at all the activity outside. She is also an expert at finding the cushiest, softest places in the house to nap!

Hi, my name is Brock. I’m a beautiful ginger color, with long legs and tail. I’m a bit skinny as I had a tough time for a while, but now I have lots of good food and am putting weight back on. I also have beautiful green eyes that are very expressive, letting everyone know how I feel. I love to purr and to talk while my ears are rubbed. I love it when my foster dad sits with me, and I can crawl up in his lap. Sometimes when my foster mom sits on the floor with me, I will lean my chest against her leg and start purring, hoping for some ear rubs. I love to play, and my favorite toy is a ball with a bell that I can bat around. I love to curl up in a box or cat carrier and get all snuggled up to sleep. I can’t wait to find a furrever home!
Dena is such a sweet girl. She's shy at first but once she knows you, what a sweet and lovely kitty. Dena likes to be pet and to be with you. She is a little head shy and will need a patient adopter who'll go slow with her and give her time to settle in & blossom in her new home. She enjoys being brushed and loves playing with toy wands. She is great with other mellow cats. She absolutely loves being brushed and sitting in your lap. FCRT has had Dena a long time. She really needs a home.
Meet Tippy Toes, a sweet, affectionate cat with a sad story. Tippy Toes and her sister lost their home when their owner died. Happily, Fancy Cats stepped in and rescued them before they were surrendered to the local shelter. However, Whitney, Tippy’s, sister had a brain tumor and died, leaving Tippy alone in her foster home. But, Tippy has thrived in her foster home and is now looking for her forever home. Tippy is very affectionate and actively seeks attention, brushing, and laser light playtime. She is a tiny little thing but with big floofy feet and a lovely bushy tail! She gets along with her foster mom’s cat savvy dog and has always lived with another cat and would likely do fine with another gentle feline friend.
Goldie landed with Fancy Cats after her owner passed away, and a family member took all 5 cats to the shelter. Goldie Girl is extremely affectionate and loves to talk to you. She has a super soft purr and uses it all the time when you scratch her ears. Goldie is a pretty low maintenance cat, she loves to play with little mice toys and will go crazy for catnip! Goldie Girl can get along with other cats, however, she is a bit shy at first, and takes a while to adapt to her new furry friends. Goldie Girl would be better off in a household with children older than the age of 8, or really any child that won't chase her around, due to the fact that she can be shy at first. Goldie Girl is very playful, you can often find her chasing her tail and being a goofball. As soon as Goldie Girl finds you all cuddled up in bed, she is the first to dash over and join you for some cuddles. Goldie Girl even enjoys watching TV at times. Give Goldie Girl a home, and let her be the perfect cat for your home!
Elliot is a talkative and sweet boy. He loves to sit in laps and when you sit down he sees his opportunity, makes his way over, settling down immediately. He loves being petted and is so laid back that he allows all handling. We think he'd be great with kids. He's patient and very kind.
Tanner is an outgoing and playful boy. He would be a great lap cat. He was given up when his owner lost his home. More information coming soon!
Alvin is a beautiful orange tabby. Not only can I sing and chirp like the Rockstar Chipmunks, but I can lounge in a window, at all the chipmunks. If you are looking for personality, I've got it! Some people call me an attention because I'm always at the front of my cage looking for head rubs and meowing to get attention. I'm also known for rolling onto my back, all 4 paws in the air, while trying to swat at my cage lock, while telling you I'm ready to eat! I like to talk a lot and would probably love to greet you at the door every day when you get home. I'd be a great addition to a busy family or to a person looking for a great conversationalist as well as a lap cat. You will never be lonely with me around because you will always have a friend.
Daisy is a loving girl who likes to hang out by your side or by a window/door where she can look outside and sun bathe. When you open the window she is right there watching everything that is going on outside. She is a little shy at first but warms up once you show her love and attention. She would prefer to have all of your attention to herself although she can live with other laid back kitties like herself.
Jingles is a docile, shy, reserved and very sweet cat. She is looking for a new home because she doesn't get along with the dogs in the home. She takes a while to warm up to people. She enjoys scratches under her chin and top of her head. She likes to scratch cardboard corrugated boxes. Jingles enjoys the laser toy and selective small cloth toys--sometimes filled with catnip. Jingles has consistently had good litter box etiquette. She can be quite talkative at times, especially on or before feeding time.
Jinny is a very loving lap cat. She has some special issues that make it hard to get her adopted. She sneezes. We have done tests and she is not contagious, but we have not been able to fix the issue either. She loves to sit in your lap and stretch out in sunny window sills. She needs to get out of the cage and into a home to feel better. Fancy Cats is willing to take care of Jinny's needs for life. Please consider fostering her.
Hi! My name is Lucky. I am a white domestic short hair boy cat with distinctive black markings on my head and back and a black tail, and I am looking for a new home. I am healthy and my shots are up to date and I even had my teeth cleaned recently!
My last person originally adopted me from Fancy Cats and even though she loves me like crazy and calls me her best bud she sadly had to return me to Fancy Cats - she has to move to another state now and find a new job. Won’t you please consider adopting me?
Here are some things that I hope will make you love me -
Not only do I have a great personality I am also a very handsome boy! I think I have a happy-go-lucky, carefree attitude about life. I like to know what’s going and be where the action is. Sometimes when dinner is on the stove I jump onto the very top of the kitchen cupboards so I can keep track of things. I love sitting on a high cat tree, especially one near a window, but I also like to have a comfy bed on the floor to call my own. Even though I am in an indoor cat I enjoy sitting on a screened porch in the sunshine and watching the birds and squirrels. Like many cats, I also like to climb inside boxes, but they have to fit me just right. If you give me one that doesn’t fit I just might make it fit by biting off the sides! I’m silly that way. I also love a good fitting basket to sit in.
Even though everyone knows I am just a cuddly baby, I would prefer to be considered the alpha male of the house. I have a tendency to play a bit rough, (although I don’t realize it) so very timid cats might consider me a threat, but I like to play, and seriously, I just want to have a good time. I kind of think I might enjoy being the only cat in the house, but I can tolerate others. I am ok being around older kids but I don't like dogs at all, but in general, I like being around people.
For dinner, I like my canned turkey Wellness the best and I like to snack on a healthy dry food, maybe a bit too much because I am a teeny bit chubby right now. I am not very fond of fishy food. Sometimes I eat all of the food at mealtime so the girl cats in the house cannot have any and then all that extra food comes right back up, so you don’t want to let me eat too much. LOL! Temptations treats are the only treats I like, and then only if you throw them across the room for me to catch. That is a lot of fun. Sometimes I catch them before they fall to the floor! It is also fun to run from one end of the house to the other, jumping on the windowsills and giving loud meows! I also lovvvve me some catnip!
Once I trust you I love to head butt and snuggle. I can purr really loud. I like to sleep on the end of your bed at night, and sometimes when I get lonely I like to snuggle up really close. I can be very snuggly, and then other times I just want to sleep by myself. There are just so many interesting things to learn about me - please come and meet me and consider making me your forever friend! Love always, Lucky.
My name is Lucy and I desperately want to be with a cat. My current family loves me very much, but they had two cats when they took me in. And even after a year, I guess those two just don’t like having me in their house. I really need to be somewhere that I can be the kitty queen of the house. Unfortunately, I am in competition for the laps and their other two cats really don’t care for that at all. My family has to keep us separated, and that isn’t very fun. I am a chatty kitty if you talk to me I talk back. I LOVE catnip, head rubs, warm laps, big cozy kitty beds, and cat trees. And I will catch the red dot one of these days!
Micah is an incredibly sweet and easy going lady, with huge green eyes that just melt the heart. Her family was heartbroken at having to give her up and now she is looking for a new family who can return all the love she has to give. She loves being petted and will hold her head up so you can scratch her under the chin. She loves to be near her humans so will sit beside you and occasionally crawl in your lap, but she is not a cuddler. One of her favorite past times is to nap the day away on her human’s bed or in a sunny window, and if you take a nap during the day, she will join you. However, she is still playful and enjoys playing fetch, and trying to catch lasers and strings. She’s also great at stalking any stink bugs or spiders that may sneak in. She has been in a home with other cats but would thrive as an only cat or with a laid back pal since she likes to be the boss. Micah tolerates the dogs in her foster home though she'd rather not play with them. She has a history of bladder stones, but as long as she has access to fresh running water and wet food, she stays healthy. She is well trained to use her scratching posts and does not attack curtains or furniture. She could be your perfect companion!
Renly is a handsome and loving gentleman. He is a very sweet boy who absolutely loves attention. He is a social eater and wants attention before he eats his dinner but he will scarf it down while you watch! He is a lazy "Garfield" of a cat who loves butt scratches and the occasional belly rub. He is a bit shy at our adoption center, but you can tell he loves people and just needs some time to come out of his shell. When he is in a home he will open up and has total lap-cat potential! Give this sweet boy a chance to show you what a great companion he will be!
Natalie was rescued from a high-kill shelter at the last moment. She is a beautiful Turkish Van mix girl. She is a nice calm cat. She is good with kids. She would be okay with a gentle cat who would leave her alone, but she doesn't like dogs.
Oscar is a pure white Oriental shorthair mix with stunning green eyes! He is sweet and can purr as loud as a motor. He is a bit on the skinny side so needs to be fattened up. Oscar was surrendered to us by his owner after they became allergic to him. The owner did state that he was not fond of being picked up (we will second that) and he would prefer a home with no dogs.
Sweet Shirley was abandoned by her family, after they moved away one day and never came back. Luckily the landlord found her in the property, and fed her until she could bring her to the shelter. She is a very nice girl and loves to purr. She has recently had a dental and is ready to find her forever home. She is a low maintenance cat and would love to be an only cat. She craves attention and will keep you company, but does not need you every minute, so she is perfect for a busy person who works all day. She is quite playful and is very good about entertaining herself with toy mice and balls. She must be the only cat in her new furever home.
Skittles is a sweet solid black DSH female. Skittles was one of multiple animals that came from a cruelty case where the animals were not properly cared for. This does not stop her; she is very loving and begs for attention! If you have wet food, forget it, you are best friends! Skittles is a bit on the skinny side at 5.6 pounds so she will need assistance on plumping up. She also likes to give love nips when she gets a little too much attention. We are working on that though! We will write more as we get to know her.
