Every cat is different, the term "special needs" reflects this by letting Fancy Cats show off felines that may simply require more affection, a specific diet, a physical or mental disability, or even a health status of being FIV or Felv positive.

FeLV+ Cats Available

Since Feline Leukemia Virus is a contagious virus, FeLV+ cats need a home away from other, healthy cats. However, these kitties may have several good years of quality life before showing any signs of the disease or related secondary illnesses. FIV+ Cats Available

Many people misunderstand the implications of Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). FIV is NOT an immediate death sentence and healthy cats can mingle with FIV+ cats in a household as long as the cats don't fight. The primary method of transmission of FIV from one cat to another is by deep puncture bites. Additionally, any cat given the FIV vaccine will test positive for it. So, there's really no reason to pass over these truly lovable kitties!
